Today we have made a DNS modification involving the IP address for the evplus.smtp.eevid.com FQDN, and something went wrong: users sending directly through eEvidence’s SMTP servers by using this FQDN –an alternative to the “.eevid.com” wildcard– reported an “Open Relay” error.

The problem was first reported at 13:05h UTC+1, immediately after the DNS had been modified; it has been corrected at 13:050 UTC+1, by taking back the DNS setting to its original configuration.

In case you have received an “Open Relay” error when trying to certify an email, it is now safe to try sending these emails again. No further changes will take place until we identify the code bug that has caused the problem.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
